The report seeks to understand why large INGOs are facing an escalating number of serious internal institutional crises and challenges, which is causing them to operate well below their full potential. It is the culmination of interviews with 17 of the most influential and experienced leaders in the world of INGOs and foundations. As well as dissecting the reasons behind why these crises and challenges are occurring with increasing frequency, crucially the report also offers clear recommendations for board chairs, CEOs, academia and funders as to how they can bring about meaningful change, before it is too late.
