Our Client, a leading Tours and Travel Company based in Nairobi is recruiting a Business Development Manager to lead its growth plans and deliver new business segments to match overall business strategy. To be considered for this position you must have genuine desire to work in the tours industry, be focused, self-driven and ready to join a dynamic team to deliver the following:
Manage and motivate the sales team to plan their work and meet their targets
Contribute to the design, production and effective delivery of high quality sales presentations and proposals to prospective customers
Produce and distribute point of sale materials within approved plan
Grow customer database and ensure the company is included in major tenders
Evaluate local markets current and future basis analysing competitive information and strategies.
To undertake these tasks successfully, you will be:
Knowledagble in market trends and customer buying patterns,
Creative and innovative to grow customer base
Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Commercial savvy with ability to spot and nurture business opportunities
A good team leader able to coach and motivate teams to greater performance
A graduate in any field but with passion for travel and people.
This position reports to the Managing Director and requires behaviour attributes that include integrity, professional discretion, creativity and ability to work collaboratively with others.
