Resource Mobilisation & Communications Manager

Location: Yambio – South Sudan


Our Client, Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) – South Sudan Office is recruiting for the position of Resource Mobilisation & Communications Manager to be based at its offices in Yambio, South Sudan. Reporting to the Country Director, this position has overall responsibility for meeting CMMB’s funding targets, organising grant base and documenting CMMB’s initiatives and programmes.



Key responsibilities

Resource Mobilisation:

  • Develop and implement a fully integrated fundraising strategy

  • Identify and respond to grant opportunities and maintain a database of development partners, donors and represent CMMB in key meetings

  • Review, monitor and document donor funding policies and trends in South Sudan

  • Lead resource mobilization capacity development planning and implementation within the country office

  • Identify and maintain consortia in preparations for upcoming and on-going opportunities.

Communication:

  • Work in collaboration with other teams to develop creative and effective print and electronic material for public awareness

  • Coordinate all marketing/communications and fundraising development activities in the country office while serving as the lead writer for all communication and marketing content.

Grant Making:

  • Oversee coordination of grant implementation process in collaboration with other CMMB teams, including development of work plans, technical and management approaches, correspondence, budgets, contracts, agreements, reports and close-outs at the country office level.

  • Track, monitor, and ensure successful grant and contract management and fulfillment in accordance with donor requirements.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Masters degree in social sciences, public health, communications with post graduate training in fundraising or journalism.

  • Mid-level experience of at least 5 years in international development, including resource mobilization for NGOs or donor-aid.

  • Experience in donor relations with good understanding of the donor financing and grant making landscape in the region.

  • Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal, and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing, writing and managing grants with good understanding of global protocols and funding.
