Our client, a leading manufacture and distributor of fast moving consumer goods with presence in East Africa has exciting career development opportunities.
This position oversees the sales and distributions function across the country and reports to the Managing Director. Specific tasks include:
Reviewing existing sales and distribution structure to ensure it is serving the business
Preparing a sales and distribution strategy to drive revenue
Identifying distributors and points of sale of various products
Leading the sales and distribution team, setting their targets and overseeing their performance, development and welfare
Preparing the departments budgets and plans in consultation with other managers.
To qualify for this role, you will meet the following criteria:
Possess a degree in business, marketing or equivalent
Postgraduate qualifications in sales and distribution
A minimum of 3 years experience managing a sales team in a small or medium sized FMCG outfit.
Commercial acumen with good problem solving and operations management skills
Demonstrable performance, setting and exceeding targets over years
Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
