Our client, a leading company in mobile-enabled technology—mobile apps, USSD, bulk SMS and short-codes—is seeking a suitable candidate to head its sales operations.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be responsible for planning, implementing and directing the sales activities to achieve revenue targets for each product. The product portfolio includes both B2B and mass market products.
Develop sales strategies for company products
Work closely with the marketing team to rollout campaigns required to build brand visibility and drive revenue.
Prepare sales incentives and put in measures to monitor achievements and deal with poor performance.
Recruit and lead the sales team responsible for executing sales strategy and coordinate product and sales training as required.
Responsible for managing the sales pipeline, working closely with team to source for new revenue opportunities, develop proposals and follow through to ensure efficient closing of opportunities.
Maintaining and updating a database of existing and potential clients determining clients’ business requirements and advising them on appropriate solutions.
Support management in evaluating new business opportunities by providing analysis and lead in negotiating key business deals.
Rollout national strategies to grow mass market products.
Education, experience and key competencies
At least 5 years experience in a sales role in similar field or FMCG managing a highly productive sales team.
Ability to develop and execute a sales strategy
Experience in mass market sales strategy rollout and B2B sales is essential.
University Degree in a related field supported by professional training in sales
Good analytical, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills
A creative thinker with good commercial skills, with ability to respond to everyday business challenges, and client requirements.
Highly organised individual with keen attention to detail.
